1. Before making any major changes to the site:
a. Delete prior site Backup (if one exists)
b. Copy current site and name it backup_date
2. To add new inventory:
a. Add a new Detail Inventory Page by copying the car template page and give it meaningful name, like "2011 BMW 328i"
b. Edit the new page you just added and incorporate the photos and appropriate information about the car
c. Edit the page titled Inventory
- Drag/drop a paragraph with picture object on the page where you want to show the new inventory
- Upload an appropriate photo
- Change the text as appropriate
- Single left click on the image, and click the link icon, and link this image to the next detail inventory you just created in step 2.a
- Add a Click here to see more info, and also link this to the same page
d. When satisfied with all changes, click publish and voila, your inventory appears on your website.
3. What to do if the site get messed up big time and you can not easily recover....
- this is why you created the backup in step 1. Delete the existing production site. Go into settings on the back up site, and change the Site Domain to www.ridesofthepalmbeaches and the name of the site to ridesofthepalmbeaches.
